Adult Services Librarian

Part Time

$17-$20 dependent upon experience and education.

Paid Leave & IPERS

Tues & Wed 10a-6p, rotating Thursdays 1-5/4-8 & Fri 1-5p

The Harlan Community Library is looking for an energetic and creative individual to join our library team as our Adult Services Librarian.  Job responsibilities include planning, organizing and implementing programs for adults, assisting in collection development, managing social media activities and performing library service duties.  The applicant should have experience in the planning and implementation of programs/activities, enjoy being creative and crafty, have lots of experience working with social media, Microsoft office and general technology trouble shooting abilities.  Excellent customer service skills and a diversified interest in reading are a must.  Graduation from standard High School or GED equivalent.  Combination of experience, education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully do the job.  Ability to get Pubic Library Staff Certification from the State Library of Iowa is required.
